Meet The Doctors

We Welcome back Dr. Alexis Louie to Walnut Avenue Dentistry.  Dr. Louie was part of our practice 6 years ago and she took a small break to care for her younger son.  She is available to empower patients and create long lasting health in her patients.  She is a California native & a Harvard graduate.  Dr. Louie's gentle caring nature is felt by all of her patients.  She looks forward to caring for you and your dental needs.

Dr. Martinez has been Recognized by her peers by being voted as a TOP DENTIST as Featured in the San Diego Magazine for the last 15 years in a row- years 2005-2022, respectively. Dr. Martinez prides herself in her excellence in cosmetic and preventive dentistry.  She has specialized in Computerized Cerec dentistry since 2003 and has been a cosmetic dentist for 24 years.

Dr. Jade Tran received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Pacific Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry. She remains active in the dental community through volunteer projects. Combining her love for travel and dentistry, Dr. Jade Tran has travelled to Fiji and Vietnam to provide dental care for those in need.  Aside from her passion of delivering the highest quality of care, she truly enjoys building relationships with her patients. Dr. Tran is an active member of the American Dental Association, The California Dental Association, and the San Diego County Dental Association. Outside of the office, she loves to explore new restaurants and travel with her husband and two kids.

Our practice provides patients a personalized high-tech dental experience: digital X-rays and the CEREC single visit in-office lab, combined with personal, caring dentistry – a wonderful combination!

Dr. Jay Friedman is our Implant Specialist.  He is an Alum of both University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and University of Southern California, respectively.  In 1984 he received his advanced degree in prosthodontics from USC.  Dr. Friedman also maintains a Faculty position at Misch International Implant Institute and Temple University.  Dr. Friedman has placed and restored over 10,000 implants and is licensed in six states.  Dr. Friedman enjoys joke-telling and his honest delivery is why patients trust him.  He is a great adjunct to our professional team.
